Sightings: We have had a long hot summer with some wonderful thunderstorms thrown in for good measure.  These summer months are fantastic for birding in that we get an influx of summer migrants to the area including the scarce African Skimmer nesting on the sandbanks. The herons, ibises, kingfishers and bee eaters are also out in abundance ensuring a constantly changing environment for guests enjoying the waterways of both the Chobe River and its channels.  The game viewing has also been really good with the elephants still out in great numbers and the lechwe and puku feasting on the green grass of the floodplains.

Photographic Boat: We are very pleased to announce the launch of our specialist photographic boat custom built for us to use at both Ichingo Chobe River Lodge and on the Ichobezi Safariboats.  This boat is fitted to provide stability and flexibility and is a wonderful addition to our already large fleet of tender boats.  Seating six plus a guide, the photographic boat will allow our guests to get up close and personal to the wildlife and birdlife ensuring a perfect shot. Every seat has been manufactured with a fixed gimbal style head which gives full pan and tilt with maximum stability.  This boat is an added value activity for all guests or it can be utilised for a group with a professional photographic guide wanting to learn how to take the ultimate wildlife photograph.
