Ichingo Chobe River Lodge and the Ichobezi Safariboats are the ideal platform from which to explore and discover this Chobe / Victoria Falls destination.

Activities focused, staying at either Ichingo Chobe River Lodge or on the Ichobezi Safariboats (or even a combination of the two) will allow you the freedom and access to view the wonderful wildlife provided by the Chobe National Park; to mark off the over 450 bird species found in this wetland paradise; to try your hand at landing a tigerfish on a fly rod; or to capture the beauty on one of our photographic safaris.

Owner managed, we pride ourselves on our ability to tailor make your stay with us and each group of guests will have the use of their own personal guide and tender boat for the duration of their stay in order to participate in any of the activities at your own time.  This means a totally flexible and relaxed holiday while you get to know this ultimate Chobe destination.

Sightings: The recent game viewing along the banks of the Chobe River has been oustanding.  Guests have frequently seen lion, wild dog and leopard along the river, along with the huge numbers of elephant always present in the Chobe National Park.  Among the more unusual bird sightings, those on the Ichobezi Safariboat were lucky enough to see a Martial Eagle attacking and killing a guinea fowl, and a Fish Eagle cracking open the shell of a tortoise to get to its hapless dinner.

Unusual Fact: Traditionally Fish Eagles will lay two eggs at a time but when the chicks are hatched, the one chick will be killed allowing for the other chick to thrive.  However it has been noted recently that because Fish Eagles along the Chobe have access to such rich food sources they are more often than not now raising both chicks successfully.
